I have long had a deep love of food and baked goods in particular. Pie is a favorite treat of mine and this was a meditation on a few of the different types of pie that exist. And a bit of a play on words as well.

This illustration was inspired by an article I found about an artist who is seeking to revive a particular variety of strawberry plant called the Marshall Strawberry. I was inspired by her project and created this piece to accompany the article.
